It seems to me that you're at a point right now where things can only get better ;-)
If she's 6 months, you can start introducing regular food right now. Start by introducing a meal 30-60 minutes before she's put down for the night. I would recommend sweet potato mash which was a huge hit with my boy. It is very healthy and contains very little starch, which is good for the stomach as starch can sometimes cause indigestion.
And as you say yourself, you are already working on getting her to take the bottle. As someone else mentioned - it doesn't have to be either or. You can use the bottle as a supplement. If she's willing to take the bottle, you can still breastfeed during the day and maybe once during the night, and then replace one or two feedings with the bottle.
But - just a little warning: It might not get better, at least for a while. My son woke every hour and a half all through the night until he was almost nine months old and I quit the nightly feeding. It wasn't because he was hungry - but the fact that he knew that he had to feed during the night, made his sleep very light. BUT - it sounds like your daughter really is hungry, with the weight loss and all. So some regular food and maybe a bottle or two might be just what she needs.
You are right.. it doesn't need to be an all or nothing thing. I just had it in my mind that way because we went though the same with my son, but he refused to take anything if I breast fed him at all.
I think because she will take a bit, we are just going to have a couple hard night and have the husband get up with her with a bottle at night. I am hoping that she will eat more from the bottle at night once she figures out I won't give her the boob.
Wish me luck
.
Thank you for taking the time to answer (and in english
